Applicant: Regents of the University of

Title:  Purification Of Nucleotide Sequences

        Suitable For Expression In Bacteria

Dear Sir:

Your response of Sept. 3, 1981, has been considered, and found persuasive.

There consequently is no need for the Patent Appeal Board to hold a

Hearing. The reasons for withdrawing the objection made under Section 2

has already been set down in a recent decision dated March 18, 1982, taken

on application 257177 of the Abitibi Company.

The present application is consequently remanded to the Examiner to resume

prosecution.

Yours truly,

J.H.A. Gariepy
